Deep Rest & Sound Bath
Maja Luce Lelandais
Moku Yoga and Movement Studio, Westward Ho! EX39 1LQ
Some evenings you don't want to move, stretch, or get anything right. You just want to lie down in a warm room and let someone else take care of the rest. This is that.
You'll arrive to a cup of cacao; a warm, optional way to land before we begin, then settle onto the floor, get comfortable under a blanket, and stay there. First, a slow guided deep rest, traditionally called yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, a spoken practice that walks you into the drifting state between waking and sleep, where the body finally lets go. Then the sound bath: crystal singing bowls, gong, and other sounds, moving over you in waves until whatever tension you came in with has nowhere left to hold.
No experience needed, and nothing to keep up with. Lie down, breathe, and be looked after.
Bring a thicker mat if you have one, plus a blanket and cushion to keep warm; we've spares blankets & bolsters if you'd rather travel light.
Take the evening. It's yours.
